About
The Light of Life Initiative began its impactful work well before its official establishment. Starting in 2023, it functioned as a small, focused project dedicated to supplying educational materials for children in remote villages. This initial effort laid the groundwork for the official establishment of the organization.
The Light of Life Initiative is a successfully established non-governmental organization (NGO) officially licensed in Ethiopia. It received its registration from the Authority of Civil Service Organization as a Non-Profit Organization on August 15, 2025 GC, under the registration number 7684.
Having secured its license and grown significantly since those early days, the Initiative has expanded its reach and scope. Today, the Light of Life Initiative operates as a multi-sector organization, serving thousands of people across various regions of Ethiopia with a comprehensive range of programs.
Our Mission
The Light of Life Initiative exists to illuminate the path out of poverty and crisis by providing comprehensive support, including meeting basic needs, fostering educational attainment, promoting economic self-reliance, expanding health access, championing rights and justice, and delivering swift emergency aid to vulnerable populations.
Our Vision
To see resilient communities worldwide where every individual, regardless of circumstance, has access to their fundamental needs, the opportunity for dignified empowerment, and the resources to build a just and prosperous future.
