National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic (NAS KR)

National Academy of Science has to perform the following important tasks:

­to advance basic researches and obtain new knowledge on nature and society;

­to converse new opportunities into really needed knowledge, technology and products in Kyrgyzstan and competitive in the world;

­to build and establish basics for development of strategic sectors and public processes in the country;

­to secure innovation growth by integrating effectively a science, production and vocational education.

For solving these tasks the NAS is being reformed in the following directions:

• to optimize the structure of scientific divisions;

• to activate innovation activity;

• to commercialize an output;

• to capitalize an intellectual capacity;

• to strengthen the international cooperation;

• to increase an effectiveness of scientific researches;

• to use a flexible financing;

• to improve the legislation.
