Vision Action (formerly Vision Aid Overseas)

Vision Aid Overseas is an international NGO (non-government organisation) based in the UK and working in eight countries in Africa. We fight poverty by transforming access to eye care in developing countries. We with communities to develop eye care services by sharing the skills of optometrists, dispensing opticians and optical technicians in developing countries, by: • Installing Vision Centres - places where people can access eye tests and spectacles on an ongoing basis • Building community capacity by educating and training eye care workers • Undertaking outreach services in rural and isolated areas.
