Società Italiana di Monitoraggio S.p.A. (SIM) was established in 1985 by a group of relevant Financial Institutions. SIM is specialised in monitoring and evaluation of public and private development programmes and investment projects. SIM’s main customers are local, national and international governmental Agencies. In a merger operation in 2002 SIM S.p.A. acquired GICO S.p.A..

It has added an important background that it has allowed SIM S.p.A. not only specialize in the field of the M&E, but also in the field of engineering and institutional strengthening. The Company\'s mission is to contribute and increase the usefulness of the institutions and to promote the civil society development. SIM S.p.A. is active in international technical assistance programmes supporting Central and Local Administrations, Public Agencies and Local Communities.
