West African Migrant Assistance Program (WA-MAP) is founded as an independent Nongovernmental (NGO) and not-for-profit Organization by a group of professionals within the West African Region based in Dakar, Senegal. These individuals come from Governments, Private Sector and Non-governmental sectors, who see the situation as a serious humanitarian catastrophe and need professional intervention. 

WAMAP project will offer a range of free services to support migrants, refugees and asylum seekers on their desires to journey by supporting them to develop their skills and understand their rights and responsibilities.

Provide a safe place where migrants and potential migrants are able to learn skills, to meet with others, to speak out for a better world and to move on feeling stronger.

Play a strong role in initiating and participating in campaigns, networks and partnerships to improve the lives of migrants, asylum seekers and refugees. 

Improve the image and perception of migrants and refugees in the West of Africa.
