1. The Government of Kenya through the Ministry of Water & Sanitation and Irrigation (MoWSI) has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of Water and Sanitation Development Project (WSDP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for “Supply and Delivery of UTF (NRW TECHNICAL GOODS LOT 1, GIS GOODS LOT 2 AND ICT GOODS LOT 3) for TAVEVO Water and Sewerage Company Limited Performance Improvement”.

2. TAVEVO Water and Sewerage Company Limited, a Water Service Provider licensed by Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) and fully owned by the County Government of TAITA TAVETA now invites sealed bids from eligible and Qualified bidders for Supply and Delivery of UTF (NRW TECHNICAL GOODS LOT 1, GIS GOODS LOT 2 AND ICT GOODS LOT 3) for TAVEVO Water and Sewerage Company Limited Performance Improvement as detailed in the Schedule of Requirements of the Tender Document.

3. Bidding will be conducted through NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING (NCB)  procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers Dated January 2011 and Revised in July, 2014  (“Procurement Guidelines) and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the address given below and inspect the bidding documents during office hours (8.00 a. m.-1.00 p.m. & 2.00 p. m - 5.00 p. m) from Monday to Friday except on public holiday at the address given below.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before Monday, 18th September, 2023 at 11.00 a.m. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on Monday, 18th September, 2023 at 11.00 a.m.

7. All Bids shall be valid for (120 days) from the date of bid submission and shall be accompanied by a Bid security in the amount indicated for each Lot as follows which shall remain valid for a further 28 days beyond the bid validity period.

LOT 1: NRW Technical Goods - KSHS.300,000.00 (Kenya shillings Three Hundred Thousand Only);

LOT 2: GIS Hardware Goods - KSHS.200,000.00 (Kenya shillings Two Hundred Thousand Only); and

LOT 3: ICT Goods - KSHS. 50,000.00 (Kenya Shillings Fifty Thousand Only).
