This operation aims to strengthen the Unified Health System (SUS) in the State of São Paulo, through expansion and improvement of the Rede health care system, promoting reorganization (strengthening primary care as the gateway system), and restructuring of the system in terms of access to secondary and tertiary levels, according to epidemiological priorities, with the definition and design of specialized networks, accompanied by instruments and logistics management for implementation. Status: Approved by the Board on 30 October 2013.Estimated total cost: US$ 380 million. Loan amount: US$ 270 million. Executing agency: Secretaria de Estado da Saúde do São Paulo.
