Regarding the automation of financial management in each individual Somali government, there has been substantial progress since 2015. The system is being used by 500+ officials from 35 MDAs. Four FMSs are using another shared cloud based FMIS solution (BISAN) that was launched gradually (Jubbaland in 2014, South West in 2015, Galmudug in 2016, and Hirshabelle in 2017) to support budget execution, accounting and reporting.
