Objectives: The Sindh Water and Agriculture Transformation Project (SWAT) aims to enhance water management and agricultural productivity in Sindh, Pakistan, by creating an integrated water resources management (IWRM) system, demonstrating agricultural water productivity improvements, and supporting policy reforms. The project supports critical reforms by utilizing investment project financing with Performance-based Conditions (PBC) modality to increase resilience against climate shocks like floods and droughts. The project's objectives include modernization of water resource systems and promoting farmer practices in line with climate-smart agriculture.
