Objectives: The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Wildlife Services (WS), National Rabies Management Program (NRMP) aims to establish a contract for commercial aviation services for the aerial dispersal of rabies vaccine baits. The goal is to control rabies in targeted wildlife species by safely and effectively distributing Oral Rabies Vaccine (ORV) baits across a diverse landscape in specified areas, primarily in the eastern United States, to manage different rabies variants in wildlife, such as raccoons, bats, skunks, and foxes.
