Objectives: The Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO), mandated by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), is a well-established programme aimed at economic development through sustainable and inclusive trade. Since 2017, SIPPO has been implemented by Swisscontact, collaborating with subcontracting partners like BHP, HELVETAS, and cooperative partners such as IPD, CBI, and TRIC. The programme aims to integrate developing and transitioning countries into global trade by enhancing the competitiveness and market access of their enterprises through targeted export promotion services delivered by Business Support Organizations (BSOs). The specific mission entails providing training for third-party auditors in accordance with the ISO 50001 standard, with goals to understand and apply the standard's requirements, train MFX teams on energy management systems, and prepare participants for the IRCA certification exam.
