TA-6936 REG: KAZ-KGZ Alternative Road Project Technical Firm (56111-001)

Objectives: The primary goal is to develop a detailed feasibility study for an alternative road project between "Karakastek-Kastek Pass-Kemin," within the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework. This project is part of the Almaty–Bishkek Economic Corridor (ABEC) under the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Program (CAREC). It aims to enhance economic activities between Almaty (Kazakhstan) and Bishkek (Kyrgyz Republic), areas separated by rugged terrain that significantly lengthens travel time. The project entails a new road connection that will pass over mountains and create a new border crossing point, significantly reducing travel time, thus potentially boosting regional trade, tourism, and integration.
