Consulting Services for Hedging of Residual Climatic Risks for Physical Damage to the Infrastructure (Infrastructure Financing)

Objectives: The objective of this consultancy is to develop a concept for hedging residual climatic risks against physical damages to infrastructure under the Sustainable Municipal Infrastructure Financing Tamil Nadu Phase III (SMIF TN III) program. The study will focus on risk analysis, adaptation measures, preparedness, and risk financing, aiming to integrate climate risk insurance as a part of an overarching risk management strategy. The concept will consider individual project risks and portfolio-wide strategies, assessing potential risk transfers and financial measures to mitigate the impacts of natural hazards, thereby enhancing urban resilience and environmental stewardship.
