Travaux de Réhabilitation de Deux Centres Néonatologies à Kayanza et Mukenke en province de Kirundo.

Objectives: The aim of this urgent restoration project is to enhance critical care for newborns at Kayanza and Mukenke hospitals by rehabilitating neonatal care centers to meet WHO sanitary standards. This includes expanding current facilities that cannot adequately accommodate existing needs, such as overcrowded spaces for incubators and lacking Kangaroo mother care support. The project intends to build new treatment areas and staff facilities, update existing walls and roofs, and ensure water storage capabilities. Once complete, these updates will substantially improve care quality and support the treatment of approximately 150 newborns received monthly at both facilities.
