Exploitation of Terrestrial 5g Beamforming Technologies for Satellite Communications (artes 4.0 Spl 5g/6g 7b.087) - Expro+

Objectives: This tender focuses on leveraging terrestrial 5G beamforming technologies for satellite communications. It aims to critically assess these technologies, identify synergies with satellite communications, and select appropriate scenarios for validation. The project targets the integration and convergence of satellite and terrestrial 5G beamforming chip supply chains by identifying common technology areas and features, particularly in overlapping frequency bands. Key objectives include validating selected concepts through technology demonstrators in sub-6GHz and mm-wave 5G, as well as E/W-band backhaul technologies to enhance global connectivity and system capacity.
