Developing a strategy to strengthen transparency systems for climate and biodiversity actions in client countries

Eligibility criteria: Eligible organizations must be consulting firms from a Bank’s Member Country, which include countries such as Argentina, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, and many others across Latin America, Caribbean, Europe, and Asia, or from eligible territories like Guadeloupe, French Guiana, Martinique, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, and Hong Kong, among others. These firms must have previous experience working with the IDB or other multilateral agencies on climate and biodiversity transparency within Latin America and the Caribbean, focusing on data management related to climate vulnerability and GHG emissions. The team should include experts knowledgeable in governance, legal, and financing frameworks supporting international commitments like the Paris Agreement. Demonstrated familiarity with IDB’s Sectoral Framework Documents and regional strategies, as well as experience with national transparency systems, MRV/M&E tools, and information platforms, is highly valued. At least one senior expert should be capable of coordinating transparency efforts at the national or regional level, and engaging with government counterparts is essential. Furthermore, the estimated project budget is USD 30,000, and CF must update their business profiles with a Business Partner Number in the BEO Bidder Portal to maintain eligibility.
