Description

1    The Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (the CCCCC) has received financing from the Green Climate Fund toward the cost of the project titled The R’s (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) for Climate Resilience Wastewater Systems in Barbados (3R-CReWS) project and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards the contracting of a Independent Engineering Supervision for the Installation of A 1MW Solar Photovoltaic System in Barbados”.

2   The Consultancy (herein after referred to as (the Services”) include but are not limited to:

a)     Certify payment requests based on verified progress and compliance.

b)    Conduct site inspections during installation to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to technical standards.

c)     Verify that all equipment and materials meet the technical specifications

d)    Monitor adherence to the approved work schedule and report on deviations.

e)     Conduct environmental and social safeguards monitoring during installation.

f)     Ensure compliance with the Contractor’s Health and Safety Plan and the Centre’s safeguards policies.

g)    Ensure that the Contractor has met all national regulatory and permitting requirements applicable to the installation, including electrical, environmental, and construction codes.

h)    Validate pre-commissioning and commissioning test results as required.

i)      Verify installation completion in accordance with contractual and manufacturer requirements.

j)      Prepare a comprehensive Completion Report within one (1) month after issuance of the certificate of practical completion.
