Description

The Government of Belize has received loan financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the implementation of the Project – Strengthening Public Expenditure Management in Belize – SPEM (5353/OC-BL-L1038).  The general objective is to promote the fiscal sustainability of Belize. The specific objective is to increase the efficiency of public resources by strengthening public financial management.  The general objective of the program is to promote Belize´s foreign direct investment and trade performance.

 The Ministry of Finance invites interested and qualified individuals to apply for the contractual post of “Assistant Project Manager – Central Executing Unit”. The Assistant Project Manager will provide technical and administrative support for the execution of the project activities within the portfolio of the CEU of the Ministry of Finance, including planning, reporting, stakeholder coordination, monitoring and evaluation, to facilitate effective project implementation and achievement of intended results.

The selection for this contractual position will be in accordance with the procedures set out in the Inter-American Development Bank: Policies for the Selection and Contracting of Consultants financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN-2350-15 in accordance with the Government of Belize’s procurement policies and best practices and the Central Executing Unit Staff Selection Policy (effective April 1, 2025) This selection is open to all eligible individuals as defined by the referenced policies.

 Application packages should be submitted in English, using the required template, before or on May 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. (Local Belize Time). Late submissions will not be considered.
