Objective and Purpose of the Assignment

   
The scope of the technical assistance (TA) is to boost women’s participation in energy-related 
employment and energy-based livelihood opportunities in Hatiya Island, and upon agreement with the 
implementing agency in other areas of Bangladesh. The TA will facilitate technical training for 
women to enable them to maximize livelihood opportunities; provide a gender-sensitive user 
education program module to improve household energy efficiency, targeting poor households headed 
by women on the safe and efficient use of solar PV electricity; and elaborating a customized 
dissemination and user-friendly educational campaign on the efficient management of services 
provided by the new solar PV/ hybrid pilot equipment going to be installed in the island.
