  1.       This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business on Jan 27, 2015
  1.       The Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana has received a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank and a grant from the Caribbean Investment Facility (CIF) of the European Union (EU) towards the cost of a  Power Utility Upgrade Program  and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the Contract for Supply & Implementation  of a Business Intelligence ( BI) system / GPL-IDB-EU-003-2018.
  1.       The Guyana Power and Light Incorporated (GPL),the Executing Agency now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Supply & Implementation  of a Business Intelligence (BI) system.
  1.       Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the Inter-American Development Bank’s Policies for the Procurement of Works and Goods financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (GN-2349-9), and is open to all bidders from countries that are eligible under the Bank's  rules as well as the European Union's Rules.
  1.       Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the Guyana Power & Light Inc.  at the address given below during weekdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  1.       Qualifications requirements include: Valid Guyana Revenue Authority and National Insurance Scheme Compliance Certificates (Local Suppliers) and Business Certificate of Incorporation. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.
  1.       A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be downloaded from the website of Guyana Power & Light Inc. http://www.gplinc.net/idb-project.
  2.       Bids must be delivered to the address below before 9:00 AM on July 17, 2018. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.  Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person  at the address below at 9:00 AM on July 17, 2018. All bids must be accompanied by a  Bid Security of US$2,000.00 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
