Description

The Republic of Yemen has received a credit from the International Development Association toward the cost of Rainfed Agriculture and Livestock Project (RALP) - and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for Procurement of Supply and Installation Autoclave and wastewater treatment plant system for new central veterinary laboratory (CVL). The Rain fed Agriculture and Livestock Project (RALP) now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Procurement of Supply and Installation Autoclave and wastewater treatment plant system for new central veterinary laboratory (CVL). The delivery & installation period are 120 days. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, (May, 2004 edition) and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents from the Rainfed Agriculture and Livestock Project (RALP) at the address below during office hours [from 8.00 AM to 3.00 PM]. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of US$ 100. The method of payment will be in cash or cashier's check. The document may be collected in person or will be sent by courier service. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of US$ 4500 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency valid for a period of 28 days beyond the validity period of the bid and be delivered to the address below by 11: AM on 12 January 2011. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. They will be opened immediately thereafter, in the presence of bidders' representatives, who choose to attend, at the address below.
