Subject:   REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR THE SERVICES OF    

                INTERNAL AUDIT OF SIAPEP FOR THE PERIOD FOR JAN 2020 TO DEC 2021.

The Government of Pakistan (GOP) has received credit from International Development Association (IDA) to meet part of the cost of the six (6) years Sindh Irrigated Agriculture Productivity Enhancement Project (SIAPEP) ending in 2021 under Credit No. Cr.5604 Pak and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. The SIAPEP would be implemented by the Project Director of the Project Implementation Unit (PD – PIU) of Agriculture, Supply and Price Department, Government of Sindh.

                The project development objective is to improve water and agriculture productivity for small and medium size farmers in Sindh.  This objective would be achieved by: a) Lining of watercourses from 30 to  50% of the total length; b) introduction/expansion of the High Efficiency Irrigation System for growing high value crops in large scale in an effort to promote crop diversification and better yields per drop of water; c) training of farmers in improved agriculture practices including integrated pest management; d) provision laser land leveling and deep ripping equipment; and e) capacity building and training of departmental staff.

The Expression of Interest is invited for the services of Internal Audit of the Project with specific and proven competence and experience in audit of large projects of similar nature to indicate their interest in providing the services. TORs are attached.

A consulting firm/consortium will be selected in accordance with the Selection Based on Consultants Qualification (CQS) method set out in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011). Following would be the weighted evaluation criteria:
