1. This Request for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business of 4th December 2015.
2. The Government of Mozambique has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of Water Services and Institutional Support Project II (WASIS II) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply of water meters & fittings for connections for Pemba, Nacala, Tete, Moatize, Beira and Dondo.

3. The Fundo de Investimento e Património do Abastecimento de Água (FIPAG) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply of water meters & fittings for connections for Pemba, Nacala, Tete, Moatize, Beira and Dondo. The delivery period is 120 days. The number and identification of lots (contracts) comprising this RFB is:

Lot 1 – Water Meters

• Lot 1, A- Supply of water meters for house connections
• Lot 1, B- Supply of water meters for OBA house connections

Lot 2 – Fitting for Connections

• Lot 2, A- Supply of fittings for connections for Northern Region
• Lot 2, B- Supply of fittings for OBA connections Central Region
• Lot 2, C- Supply of fittings for OBA connections Southern Region

4. Bidding will be conducted through international competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers- Procurement in Investment Projects Financing of July 2016, revised November 2017 and August 2018 and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

and inspect the Bidding document during office hours, from 8:30h to 15:00h at the address given below.

6. The Bidding document in English may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of USD 100.00 (One Hundred US Dollars) or the equivalent in Meticais. The method of payment will be direct deposit into one of the two FIPAG bank accounts: Millennium BIM, MZM account no. 8992580, NIB 000 100 000 000 899 258 057, Millennium BIM Swift Code BIMOMZMXXXX or Banco ABC USD accounts no. 100108022028, NIB 001 300 010 010 802 202 829, Banco ABC Swift Code FMBZMZMX. When requested, FIPAG will send the bidding document and the Bidder should pay for any express courier charges.

7. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 14:15 local time on 1st April 2021. Electronic Bidding will be permitted as detailed in the bidding documents. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened online and the Bidders’ designated representatives can connect online to participate in the bid opening meeting on 1st April 2021 at 14:15.

8. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration for the bid.
