Empowering Indigenous People and Local Communities for Sustainable Land Use and Livelihoods in Fiji

Objectives: The tender seeks to enhance the capacities of Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IP and LC) in Fiji for sustainable land use management and climate-smart agriculture. It is aimed at empowering these communities through training, developing agribusiness models that focus on local resources such as Cassava Flour, and supporting climate change objectives outlined in Fiji’s National Climate Change Policy 2018-2030. The program targets remote rural communities and focuses on reducing deforestation and promoting sustainable practices to bolster Fiji’s economy and food security.
