The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Regional Programme-Political Dialogue for Sub-Saharan Africa intends to commission a one-year regional project aimed at strengthening the analytical, strategic and policy development capacities of political actors in Sub-Saharan Africa. The project focuses on enabling evidence-based decision-making and improving policy formulation within democratic institutions and political parties.
The initiative seeks to move beyond ad hoc or intuition-based approaches by introducing structured, data-informed methods that are adaptable, cost-effective and sustainable within resource-constrained political environments.
Objectives of the Project
The project aims to:
• Strengthen the institutional capacity of political actors to develop and assess public policy proposals using empirical and contextual analysis.
• Reduce reliance on expensive, externally driven research by building durable internal analytical capabilities.
• Support democratic representation by improving responsiveness to social, economic, and political realities across diverse constituencies.
• Foster cross-country learning and regional exchange on innovative approaches to political analysis and capacity-building.
