Caritas Ukraine is a representative office of one of the biggest network of international charitable organizations in the world and in Europe. Word "caritas" means love and mercy, compassion and charity.
The Mission of Caritas Ukraine is to develop philanthropy and to encourage community participation in charitable work according to Christian moral-ethical teachings.
- The Goal of Caritas Ukraine is to develop and implement national programs that secure social assistance and support for the neediest segments of Ukrainian society, regardless of their nationality or religious beliefs.For more than 20 years of work Caritas have rendered material, social, psychological and legal assistance to tens of thousands of needful Ukrainians. Caritas activity is focused on 4 main areas:
- Assistance to children, youth and families
- Healthcare
- Social problems of migration
- Work in crisis situations
