Call for Applications for the event "Adaptive Emergency Planning for Frontline Communities"

Objectives: The FPSU-2 program seeks to strengthen emergency readiness for Ukraine's frontline and border communities through the Adaptive Emergency Planning initiative. Over a period of six months, the grant will empower a selected organization to gather, assess, update, and enhance emergency plans and evacuation strategies across 31 prioritized communities. The initiative includes hosting a workshop to improve emergency planning skills, facilitating online training for response capacity escalation, and ensuring the protection of essential infrastructure during conflict emergencies. The activity targets local authorities in regions such as Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and others, aiming to build resilient crisis leadership and strategic communication skills. Additionally, it evaluates communities’ resources for safeguarding high-value assets, ensuring the preservation of cultural heritage, and improves practices in managing information security threats. This endeavor furthers awareness, peer learning, and applies a contextual approach to equip communities for effective emergency preparedness and response in the conflict-stricken regions of Ukraine.
