Sheladia Associates is seeking a professional Senior Structural Design Engineer (Bridges) to join our team for an upcoming Cambodia Southeast Asia Disaster Risk Management Project 2, funded by the World Bank.
The Project aims to improve the disaster and climate resilience of flood-damaged rural roads in Target Areas, namely the provinces of Banteay Meanchey, Pursat, Battambang, Siem Reap, Kampong Speu, Kampong Chhnang, Tboung Khmum, and Kampong Cham.
The expert is required to perform the following tasks but are not limited to:
· Inspect the existing structures and confirm those that require replacement, and any repairs required on structures;
· Work closely with the national hydrological and materials engineer to determine adequacy of the structural design and foundation design;
· Prepare the detailed design for the repair or replacement of existing structures or new construction as required;
· Prepare detail design documentation suitable for bidding documents;
· Write detailed design report.
Required Qualifications:
· The Structural Engineer will be an internally/internationally experienced engineer.
· Minimum bachelor’s degree in civil engineering related field.
· Preferably 15 years' experience in related assignment.
· He/she should have experience, as the structural engineer, in Road projects with bridges and drainages.
· Extensive experience in countries with similar condition to Cambodia.
· The expert must have very good proficiency of English.
