Description

For a Partner Africa Project between the Internationaler Bund e.V. (IB) together with IHK-Projektgesellschaft Ostbrandenburg gGmbH (Chamber of Commerce) and vocational training institutions in the Northern and Delta regions of Egypt, we are looking for:

Finance & Admin Assistant in Egypt

Location: Alexandria, Egypt.

Type of contract: Full-time (40 hours per week).

Contract duration: One year, starting August 1, 2024, with the possibility of extension until November 30, 2025.

About the Project:

This position supports the "Skills4Trends" project, funded by the PartnerAfrika Programme of sequa gGmbH within the framework of the Special Initiative on Training and Employment of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). In partnership with local organizations, "Skills4Trends" promotes decent employment through training aligned with future technological labour market demands in Egypt's Northern and Delta regions.

Responsibilities:

    Assist the PTL in project planning, activity scheduling, budget development, and the implementation of project activities.

·        Provide comprehensive organizational and administrative support to the project team, working closely with field staff at the Egyptian partner organization and under the guidance of the Project Team Leader (PTL).

·        Prepare training and workshop budgets under the supervision of the PTL.

·        Provide guidance and support to project field staff on financial documentation requirements and procedures.

·        Coordinate, document, and provide financial documentation and administrative support for project activities, collaborating closely with field staff and following IB guidelines.

·        Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records related to the Egyptian partner's activities.

·        Manage electronic and paper filing systems for all relevant administrative and financial information.

·        Conduct and monitor financial operations for project activities in the Northern region of Egypt.

·        Prepare procurement documentation and manage procurement processes according to established requirements and procedures.

·        Maintain close cooperation with the international Finance and Contract Manager based at IB Headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany.

Qualifications:

   Egyptian national.

·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

·        Minimum of 5 years of experience working in development cooperation projects or a related field.

·        At least 3 years of proven experience managing financial and logistical support for field-level project implementation.

·        Experience with project accounting software is highly desirable.

·        Strong administrative, organizational, and project management skills.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

·        Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.

·        Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

·        Excellent analytical skills with a results-oriented approach.
