Project Overview:

This project aims to manage and develop a dedicated Suai Supply Base, through a Design-Build and Finance contract. The Supervision works of SSB design build contract will provide specialized project management advice and expertise in the development of onshore and offshore works.

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 15 years' post-graduate experience to join our team in the region. The Mechanical Engineer will supervise mechanical system installations including fuel lines, firefighting systems, HVAC, and process water. Responsible for ensuring that mechanical works are compliant with design specifications and tested accordingly.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to Team Lead.
  • Oversee construction and installation of mechanical systems.
  • Review mechanical design drawings and material submissions.
  • Inspect firefighting systems, pumps, RO plants, tanks and HVAC equipment.
  • Support testing, commissioning and performance verification of systems.
  • Coordinate mechanical installations with civil and electrical teams.
  • Maintaining a culture of continuous improvement across all aspects of the working environment and projects.
  • Perform other such duties as may be reasonably required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years in mechanical works on infrastructure or industrial projects.
  • Sole or lead Mechanical Engineer on at least two supply base or port projects > USD 200 million.
  • Strong knowledge of international mechanical codes and safety standards.
  • Experienced in commissioning and QA/QC.
  • Familiarity with API, ASHRAE, NFPA or ISO mechanical codes.
  • Experience in tropical site installations and remote commissioning desirable.
  • Excellent communication, reporting and computer skills, with excellent site supervision and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
  • Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and manage many tasks concurrently.
  • You will have an agile and “Can Do” mindset.
  • Ambitions self-starter with high self-standards.
