AVSI is a third sector organization, founded in 1972, which through development cooperation projects in 42 countries in different sectors, wants to work for a world where the person is the protagonist of his own human journey and that of his community in all contexts. Purpose of the position: In the context of two projects with a high educational and environmental impact, promoted by the AVSI Foundation as leader, the field officer will be involved transversally at local, regional and international level, contributing to the implementation of project initiatives in the fields of training, environmental protection and active participation. This figure works as an operational link between schools and vocational training institutions, local communities, project partners and AVSI staff, ensuring that the activities are carried out in compliance with the expected timeframes and are consistent with the educational, environmental and social objectives of the projects.

Main tasks and responsibilities

The Field Assistant supports the Project Manager, coordinating and facilitating field activities (educational visits, workshops, public meetings, supports partners), assists teachers in co-designing educational paths, accompanies exchange visits and supports the production of multimedia educational materials.
It contributes to the construction and strengthening of educational and territorial networks, promoting the exchange of good practices through study visits, thematic meetings and awareness campaigns. The activity involves schools, scientific and public institutions, educational centers, citizens and families, with the aim of creating a solid and lasting network of collaboration and sharing.
Collaborate with the communications team to support the production and dissemination of multimedia content through social media, websites, newsletters, public events and workshops.
Supports the project manager in project management, events and project logistics, including the purchase of goods and services in accordance with the procedures of the funders and the AVSI Foundation.
Contributes to the monitoring of project activities and results, with particular attention to the degree of involvement and participation of beneficiaries and partners, and to the systematic collection of data for impact assessment.
Actively collaborates with beneficiaries, partners and stakeholders, to ensure integrated and multidisciplinary support, contributing to the definition of shared short and long-term objectives and actively participating in coordination meetings.
Contributes to the drafting of reports, documenting activities, progress, results, critical issues, coordinating with the PM and the AVSI team and facilitating communication.
Complies with AVSI regulations, guidelines and procedures.

Salary: net approximately €1,300
Essential requirements

Education: Degree in Educational, Environmental, Natural, Social Sciences or similar. Other qualifications will be considered if accompanied by relevant experience.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in educational and/or environmental activities preferably in school, natural, multicultural and multidisciplinary contexts; direct experience with beneficiaries, local communities and data collection.
Languages: Excellent knowledge of Italian and English; additional languages will be considered a plus.
Required skills and experience

Interpersonal skills: excellent communication and public speaking skills, empathy, sensitivity, ability to interact with different targets and in different contexts.
Organization and teamwork: Ability to plan complex activities, working both independently and in coordination with the AVSI and project team, in compliance with the specific and qualitative objectives of the project and procedures.
Digital skills: Excellent command of the Office package and communication tools (social media, newsletters, videos, infographics, photos, brochures).
Analysis and problem solving: Ability to collect, analyze, document, communicate and report data; problem-solving approach even in complex situations.
Mediation and networking: Experience in dialogue with stakeholders, authorities and local communities; skills in conflict management.
Educational Leadership: Ability to accompany and coordinate project beneficiaries in the field, promoting their growth and autonomy.
Knowledge of the area: Familiarity with the local context and social/cultural dynamics is an advantage.
Driving licence B and own car.
