Consulting services for IT Skills Development and Capacity Building

Objective

This assignment aims to enhance IT competencies and soft skills among young people across Uzbekistan by delivering high-quality, industry-relevant training programs. The Consultant will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive IT skills development courses that align with international standards and labor market needs.

The company must have a team of key experts:

  • Project manager - 1
  • Methodology expert for IT courses - 4
  • Education manager (one for each of the technical areas) - 4,
  • Online education manager - 1

The Consultant must provide a staffing plan with names, roles, and CVs for the core project team as part of the proposal.

 

Methodology Experts for IT courses ()

Key responsibilities

The methodology expert is responsible for developing and implementing effective methodologies tailored specifically for the selected target audience under the framework of the UDI project Subcomponent 1.1. This role involves ensuring best practices in IT training and providing expert guidance to enhance the delivery and impact of education programs.

  • Designing and refining methodologies and frameworks for education projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and academic goals;
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to design and update training program curricula and course content;
  • Developing best practices for IT training, including curriculum design and instructional strategies aligned with industry certification;
  • Development of placement tests, quizzes, mid-term tests, mock examinations, and final assessment methods;
  • Provision of ongoing support and consultation to educators, trainers, and project teams on methodology application;
  • Evaluating the impact of training programs and making necessary adjustments for improvement.

Qualifications and experience

  • At least a master's degree in IT, education, computer science, or other related fields, a PhD degree would be an advantage.
  • Fluency in the English language. Uzbek and Russian languages will be an advantage.
  • At least 10 years of experience in developing and implementing methodologies aligned with international standards for IT education or related fields, with a proven track record of success;
  • Experience in developing methodologies for HEI, training centers is highly valued.
  • Expertise in IT education methodologies and instructional design;
