Key Expert 1: Investment Facilitation and Improvement of the Business Environment

Project: “Promoting Trade and Investment in Angola”, Angola

About the project:

The aim of the project is strengthening competitiveness, regional integration, boosting investment and exports and diversifying the Angolan economy, this project will reinforce national capacities in the various fields as described by the expected outputs. This intervention intends to promote and increase inclusive and sustainable investment and trade that contribute to Angola’s green transition and contribute to sustainable economic diversification, sustainability of the local private sector and promotion of exports beyond oil.

Role description:

This expert will focus primarily on the implementation of the SIFA (Angola-EU Sustainable Investment Facilitation Agreement), notably improving the transparency, predictability and administrative efficiency of the regulatory framework for investments in line with the SIFA, support for AIPEX, particularly reducing obstacles to investment (domestic and foreign), strengthening the digital single window for investors and ‘Invest in Angola’ portal, support in defining investment strategies and policies and disseminating information on attracting investment in Angola.

Qualifications and skills

• Degree in Economics, Law, Public Administration, Management, Marketing or relevant areas. Master´s degree would be an asset.
• Fluency in Portuguese (minimum C1) and English (minimum C1), oral and written.

General Professional Experience

•  Minimum of 7 years of proven professional experience in related areas.
• Proven experience in technical assistance projects
