Our client in Ukraine and Eastern Europe MCO (UEMCO) operates in Ukraine, Moldova, and Poland, supporting urgent humanitarian needs while building pathways for recovery and development. In Ukraine, UEMCO delivers large-scale infrastructure, energy, housing, education, and mine action projects in partnership with UN agencies, international financial institutions, the European Union, and bilateral donors. Its agile portfolio responds to fast-evolving needs with strong procurement and implementation capacity. In Moldova, UEMCO supports justice sector reform and is exploring opportunities to expand its role across public sector modernization and infrastructure. In Poland, UEMCO works with government and private sector actors to strengthen ties with UN procurement and contribute to Ukraine’s recovery, leveraging Poland’s EU experience to support Ukraine’s future accession and integration

The Assessment Associate (Medical Capabilities) will be responsible for conducting field assessments of the medical capabilities of various mine action stakeholders in Ukraine. This includes visiting different organizations, evaluating their resources and procedures, and providing detailed reports to the team leader for inclusion in a comprehensive assessment report. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Field Assessments

Conduct on-site visits to various mine action stakeholders across Ukraine involved in mine clearance and victim assistance.

Assess the medical capabilities of each stakeholder, focusing on areas such as first aid provision, emergency medical response, trauma care, medical facilities and rehabilitation services

Collect data through interviews, observations, and document reviews, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.

Identify gaps and areas for improvement in the medical capabilities of each stakeholder.
Data Analysis and Reporting

Analyze the collected data to identify trends, patterns, and key findings related to the medical capabilities of mine action stakeholders.

Prepare detailed assessment reports for each stakeholder visited, summarizing the findings and providing recommendations for improvement.

Contribute to the overall assessment report being prepared by the team leader, ensuring that the information is accurate, comprehensive, and well-organized.

Maintain accurate records of all assessments conducted, including data collected, reports prepared, and follow-up actions taken.
Team Collaboration and Communication

Work closely with the team leader and other team members to ensure that the assessment process is coordinated and efficient.

Communicate regularly with the team leader to provide updates on progress, discuss challenges, and seek guidance as needed.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on assessment findings and recommendations.

Maintain effective communication with mine action stakeholders, ensuring that they are informed about the assessment process and their feedback is incorporated
