The opportunity aims to improve State Highways/ Major district road and Rural Roads, enhance climate and disaster resilience of roads, and strengthen institutional capacities of Maharashtra Public Works Department (MPWD) and Maharashtra Rural Road Development Association (MRRDA).
Criteria:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in climate science or related field.
- Total professional experience: 7 years
- 5 years of experience in climate change and road transport studies, implementing or monitoring climate adaptation and mitigation measures with developmental programs preferably in transport sector.
- Familiarity with ADB policies, screening tools, processes and frameworks related to climate change throughout project cycles, including methodologies consistent with India’s low-emissions, climate-resilient development pathways and with the overall climate change mitigation, adaptation, and resilience objectives of the Paris Agreement.
- Experience in programs financed by multilateral development banks such as ADB or other donor agencies.
