The Sharikni project, implemented by GIZ Jordan in partnership with MAGENTA and the Social Security Corporation (SSC), aims to develop an inclusive strategic communications approach to better engage informal workers in Jordan. The project combines stakeholder engagement, behavioural research, co-creation of communication tools, and capacity building.

The Team Lead will be responsible for providing strategic oversight, ensuring quality delivery across all project phases, and serving as the main point of coordination between MAGENTA, GIZ, and SSC. The Team Lead will guide the communication strategy, oversee co-creation activities, and ensure alignment with national social protection goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Team Lead will be responsible for:

·       Lead the overall technical delivery of the project across all phases.

·        Facilitate objective setting meetings with SSC and GIZ when required.

·        Ensure high-quality delivery of all outputs including the communication strategy, toolkit, and dashboard.

·       Participate in and co-facilitate co-creation workshops and validation meetings.

·       Supervise the development and refinement of communication products and tools.

·       Support integration of behavioural insights and strategic communication principles.

·       Ensure gender and inclusion considerations are mainstreamed throughout the project.

·       Provide technical backstopping and mentoring to the project team, including review of tools, messaging, and digital deliverables.

·       Coordinate closely with the Research, Stakeholder Engagement, Gender, and Digital Experts to ensure cohesive delivery.

·       Provide timely updates to MAGENTA and GIZ on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.

 

Deliverables

  • Oversight and quality assurance of:
    • Co-creation workshop materials and facilitation
    • Leading Strategic Communications Strategy
    • Community engagement toolkit
    • Implementation roadmap and dashboard mock-up
  • Review and sign-off on final deliverables to GIZ
  • Participation in key milestone meetings and workshops

REQUIREMENTS

·      Minimum 8–10 years of experience in communications, SBC, or strategic advocacy in development or humanitarian contexts

·      Proven leadership in managing multi-stakeholder, multi-component projects

·      Demonstrated experience in participatory design processes and behavioural insight application

·      Strong understanding of social protection systems, labour issues, or informal economies is preferred

·      Excellent facilitation, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills

·      Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is a strong asset
