Shahamat Health and Rehabilitation Organization (SHRO)
Shahamat Health and Rehabilitation Organization (SHRO) is a non- governmental national NGO, it was established in 2001 as a response to the emerging needs of Afghan people living at the Khurasan Refugee Camp in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of Pakistan (formally North West Frontier Province NWFP).
SHRO has been run many projects in the field of Health since 2003 till now such as Drug Awareness, Capacity Development Training Workshops, Human Rights, Drug Addiction Treatment Centres, After-care Project, Harm Reduction, HIV / AIDS Prevention Project and Night Shelter. SHRO is humanitarian/ development organization dedicated to provide top quality services to the destitute or needful people of the country, without discrimination and irrespective of race, religion, creed or political affiliation.
SHRO is now working for the field of drug demand reduction including Drug Prevention, Treatment, Rehabilitation, Reintegration of Drug Addicts (Children, Women , Male and Adolescent ) and the current location that SHRO working are Kabul , Badakhshan, Herat, Balkh, Takhar, Jawizjan, Farah and Nimroz provinces, SHRO has built up experience in regards to training of different group of Afghan civil society including Teacher, Police officers, Police cadets, Journalist, Religious Leaders, Community Leaders, Formers and school student in different province of Afghanistan.
