SOS Children’s Villages (SOS Villaggi dei Bambini) - Italy

SOS Children's Villages is a private international organization, apolitical and non-denominational. For over 60 years it has helped more than 2,000,000 people through integrated programs to support children and their family environment and welcomes more than 80,000 children each year.

In Italy it has been present since 1963 with 7 Villages, helping more than 500 people, including over 450 children and young people.

Thanks to the distance adoption, the association is able to welcome thousands of children inside the SOS Children's Villages, where a residential educator, affectionately called Mamma SOS, takes care of them, follows them in their schooling and recreates together to them a family environment that allows children to grow and become independent adults.

Help children in difficulty around the world, promote and protect the rights of every child to receive the care and affection of a family. Offer all children the opportunity to go to school and become independent adults while maintaining their roots and cultural identity.

The mission of SOS Children's Villages is to support the growth of every child in a family environment, helping him to build his future and contributing to the development of his community.
