AVSI Foundation (Rwanda)

About
AVSI Foundation started to operate in Rwanda in 1994, when it was among the first NGOs to cross the border with Uganda to support the genocide victims with emergency interventions.
Today, 25 years later, we are implementing development projects that contribute to the socio-economic transformation of the country. Our approach is characterised by three levels of intervention. The entry point of all our interventions is the individual, in most cases vulnerable children, who are accompanied on the path of their life through access to quality education. It then expands to their families, which are supported through various activities so that they can become self-reliant and can take care of their children, and finally it encompasses the community, through the creation of a resilient and safe environment for child development and family socio-economic strengthening.
