The Association of AVSI Polska was established in 1993 in Warsaw as one of the organizations associated in the international network AVSI (Association of Volunteers for the International Service) based in Cesena, Italy. In the world, AVSI started operating in 1972. AVSI International is one of the most important non-governmental organizations in Europe. It operates in the area of social welfare, education, and aims to improve social and economic conditions through the promotion of small entrepreneurship, lifelong adult education, vocational training, combating unemployment, and health care activities.
