AHDAA is a non- government, humanitarian and non-profit organization that supports sustainable development in Afghan community through promoting the ability of local communities to decide upon and manage their own development process. Activities are implementing in cooperation with civil society organization, national and international donors, UN, Governmental Departments, private sectors with particular emphasis on poverty reduction and assistance towards the rural development, and gender equality.

Agency for Humanitarian and Development Assistance for Afghanistan (AHDAA) was founded on 29th /March/1996. The organization was then registered with representative office of the ministry of foreign affairs in Herat in 16th / August /1996. It was also registered with the UNOCHA office in Islamabad and on 5th /June/2000 registration was concluded with the ministry of planning in Kabul.
