THE CRADLE OF HOPE has served the most vulnerable and marginalized adults and children in West Johannesburg areas for over 15 years. Our mission is to improveth elives of our beneficiaries and to lead independent lifestyles and to maximize their qaulity of life. THE CRADLE OF HOPE undertakes GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE programs, HUNGER ALLEVIATION programs, FOOD SECURITY, EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT, HUMANITARIAN RELIEF, COMMUNITY DEVELPOMENT & SKILLS TRAINING, while simultaneously filling the needs in the community as they are identified. We are consious of the changing demographics in the various communities and are committed to growing and adapting our mechanisms to meet the emerging need. THE CRADLE OF HOPE also plays a vital role in the lives of many seniors from local informal settlements. Financial support always allows us to to respond to crisis as they are received more effectively and to build internal and external capacity. This enables us to build deeper relationships with more partners and help more beneficiaries than we would be able to if we were constantly seeking new sources of funding for each specific program with an outcome. This results in greater impact in addressing bigger social issues. THE CRADLE OF HOPE does not recieve any formal state funding and depends entirely on donations and sponsorships from companies and individuals as well as our fundraising efforts to carry out the work we do.
