Amnesty International (Turkey)

Amnesty International (AMN) is a global movement of more than 10 million people in more than 150 countries working to end human rights violations. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1977 for his work. Amnesty International investigates and documents human rights violations and campaigns to stop them. It works to ensure that everyone around the world can enjoy human rights through human rights education and advocacy activities.

Amnesty International is a global community of human rights defenders committed to the principles of international solidarity, effective action for victimized individuals, world coverage, the universality and indivisibility of human rights, impartiality and independence, democracy and mutual respect.

Amnesty International is independent of any state, government, political ideology, economic interest or religion. To maintain this independence, it does not accept money from governments or political parties for research and campaign activities on human rights violations, its primary source of income is worldwide membership dues and individual donations.

Amnesty International takes part in international debates on human rights, consulting with governments; It provides opinions to intergovernmental organizations such as the UN, the Council of Europe and the European Union.
