Sofid (former Construções JJR & Filhos Moçambique, Lda)

Created in 2007 with the mission to contribute to the sustainable development of the countries with less developed economies, linked with the general strategy for the Portuguese cooperation and the Official Development Assistance (ODA).

By offering financial products and services to private and public companies (as long as they are commercially managed), SOFID has to contribute to the increase of productive and commercial relations between Portugal and emerging and developing countries in order to boost their economic and social progress. 

Vision

Private sector sustainable activity financing is a fundamental pillar for the economic and social development of the eligible countries.

Mission

The SOFID must focus its effort on financing solid internationalization projects that bring benefits to the recipient economies.

Values

Since 2007 SOFID is the only development financial institution that supports investment projects of Portuguese companies in emerging and developing countries.
