Description

CALL FOR PARTNERSHIPS

Empowering Sustainable Investments for a Just and Greener Future

Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited (“Fidelity” or the Bank), the largest privately-owned Ghanaian bank, is requesting for partnership proposals from local and international funders, development partners, and charitable organizations to implement innovative, impact-focused projects in Ghana targeting the Sustainable Development Goals. We aim to promote Ghana’s just transition journey by supporting key sectors including green economy, creative arts and culture, gender empowerment and micro, small and medium enterprises.

The Bank also intends to scale its corporate social responsibility activities geared towards underprivileged communities and vulnerable groups especially the youth, women and persons with disabilities and is keen to collaborate with like-minded charitable and philanthropic organizations.

Our Areas of Focus

This partnership will concentrate on the following thematic areas that align with Ghana’s development priorities and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:

  1. Green Economy Initiatives: Support the transition to a sustainable green economy by funding and implementing environmentally friendly projects across Ghana’s green taxonomy including renewable energy, waste management, sustainable agriculture, and climate resilience.
  2. Access to Affordable Financing for MSMEs: Provide innovative, concessionary financing solutions to MSMEs to enhance their growth, productivity, and competitiveness. Projects will focus on increasing access to financial and non-financial resources for entrepreneurs and MSMEs in underserved sectors and regions.
  3. Gender Empowerment and Equality: Promote gender equality by funding initiatives that enhance the economic empowerment of women and girls, including access to financial resources, skills training, and leadership opportunities.
  4. Creative Arts and Culture Industry Support: Strengthen the creative arts and culture sector, which has an untapped potential to drive economic growth, innovation, and cultural development. Support will target entrepreneurs, artists, and innovators in areas like fashion, music, film, sports and digital media.
  5. Diaspora Connections: Leverage the global Ghanaian diaspora network to foster investment, knowledge transfer, and partnerships that create sustainable impact in the country.
  6. Supporting Vulnerable Communities: Under the Bank’s Orange Impact Initiative, Fidelity Bank is constructing and refurbishing dilapidated educational infrastructure and WASH amenities for underserved youth in underprivileged communities. Under the EmpowerAll Initiative, the Bank is facilitating skills development and training for persons with disabilities as a pathway to inclusive employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
