Honiara Urban Greening and Beautification Initiative: Tree Planting and Mini-Infrastructure set-up

Objectives: The primary goal of the Honiara urban tree planting and beautification program is to enhance the urban landscape and ecological sustainability of Honiara City, Solomon Islands. This initiative aims to increase green spaces, improve air quality, support biodiversity, mitigate urban heat, and elevate life quality for city dwellers. Furthermore, it involves community engagement to foster environmental stewardship, promote sustainable practices, and elevate awareness about urban ecosystem benefits. By implementing tree planting and mini-infrastructure installations, in collaboration with local councils and ministries, the program aspires to drive climate resilience, aesthetic enhancement, and community involvement.
