The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), co-funded by the European Union (EU), is implementing the Blue Benguela Current Action (BBCA) in the Benguela Current Convention member states Angola, Namibia and South Africa. This project aims to strengthen the integrated conservation and sustainable use of the Benguela Current Large Marine Ecosystem including fisheries and other marine resources. GIZ Namibia hereby invites qualified and experienced consultants (individuals, consortia, or civil society organisations) to submit bids for consulting services for a scoping study on innovative financing mechanisms to support Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and Other Effective Area-Based Conservation Measures (OECMs) in the Benguela Current Large Marine Ecosystem.
