Description

The Republic of Armenia has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development toward the cost of Health System Modernization Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the Contract for "Supply and installation of Medical and Diagnostic Equipment for "Ararat Medical Center" CJSC, "Goris Medical Center" CJSC, "Gavar Medical Center" CJSC and "Alaverdi Medical Center" CJSC and Operation Training ". The "Health Project Implementation Unit" State Agency now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for supply and installation of 383 units of Medical and Diagnostic equipment (totally 68 names), and operation training. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits (edition of May 2004, revised October, 2006 and May, 2010), and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from "Health Project Implementation Unit" SA (e-mail: healthpiu@gmail.com) and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM. General qualifications requirements include: ?Financial resources of Bidder and/or access to credit line equal to the proposed Bid price. ?Completed supplies of Goods offered in the Bid under one or more contracts during the past 5 years and such Goods have been in successful use at least for past 1 year. ?References from Beneficiaries on successfully completed contracts. Bidders should have at least at least 5 years experience in manufacturing or supplying of medical and diagnostics equipment. ?Local Bidders should not have the deferred debts to tax inspection and Social Security State Fund. ?Bidders (or local Agent) should be able to carry out the repair and spare parts-stocking obligations prescribed in the Conditions of Contract and/or Technical Specifications. A margin of preference for certain goods manufactured domestically "shall not" be applied. Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written Application to the address below and upon payment of a non refundable fee in AMD 38,000 or in USD 100. The method of payment will be bank transfer. In case of transfer, bank account details are the following: Central Treasury of Ministry of Finance, RA- 900000902123 for AMD transfers. Central Treasury of Ministry of Finance, RA- 900000902156 for USA transfers. The Bidding Documents will be sent by airmail for overseas delivery and surface mail or courier for local delivery. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 24 June, 2011, not later than 10:00 (local time). Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 24 June, 2011, at 10:05 (local time) All bids must be accompanied by a "Bid Security" of 36,600 (thirty six thousands and six hundred) USD.
