Title: Indicators and Methods for Measuring Transition to Climate-neutral Circularity, its Benefits, Challenges and Trade-offs
Description: The overall objective is to develop and test indicators that are fit for use with the new approaches suggested in the CEAP and the Green Deal and under Horizon Europe. These indicators must allow the measurement and assessment of the state of circularity, the transition towards it, and the social, environmental and economic impacts of this transition. This initiative shall bring together advanced approaches in environmental statistics with a life cycle analysis (LCA) approach and product environmental footprint methodology and data. The indicators shall allow knowledge gain about circularity at the levels of economy sectors, products, services, organisations, territories, individual households, along value chains, etc., and shall provide for the setting of benchmarks for policy, e.g. for funding.
