Project Overview:
This project aims to Increase energy efficiency, reduced energy supply costs and use renewable energy in the existing water systems for selected Water and Wastewater Facilities in Jordan.
We are currently seeking an experienced Team Leader with a minimum of 15 years' post-graduate experience to join our site supervision team in the region. The ideal candidate will bring proven leadership in the delivery of complex infrastructure projects, strong contract administration skills, and the ability in managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring quality control, compliance, and efficient progress across all phases of construction. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the successful execution of a major development initiative within a dynamic and collaborative project.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Liaison with the other members of the Engineering Team;
- Reporting to Employer’s Representative;
- Dealing with contractual matters on-site related to project works;
- Coordinating Contract interfaces with respect to project works;
- Liaison with Stakeholders;
- Assessment of Contractor claims and writing reports on the same;
- Assessment of Contractor payment applications against work completed and contractor performance against Contractual KPIs;
- Assessment of Contractor submissions including method statements and preparation of clear comments;
- Reviewing Contractor design submissions against Employers’ requirements and preparation of clear comments;
- Supervision of the works, keeping records, measuring, managing correspondence, and contractual documentation;
- Maintaining a culture of continuous improvement across all aspects of the working environment and projects;
- To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company's evolving needs, additional tasks and responsibilities will form part of this role as it evolves.
- Perform other such duties as may be reasonably required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 15 years of increasingly responsible experience,
- At least 5 years of in a similar management position on comparable projects
- Experienced in water supply projects broad knowledge in energy efficiency related to water and wastewater facilities.
- Minimum of BSc degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields;
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English;
- Excellent communication, reporting and computer skills.
- Experience on projects funded by international financing institutions such as the World Bank.
- Member of Professional Institution / Registered Engineer.
- Competent in office packages, Microsoft, excel PowerPoint etc.
- Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and manage many tasks concurrently.
- Excellent clear and concise communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
